What we collect

CWDCrossing uses Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate page views (which pages are visited, roughly from where, on what kind of device). The site shows no ads and loads no advertising scripts. There is no cookie banner and no consent pop-up.

What the decoder sends

The origin × destination decoder runs in your browser: picking the state you hunted in and the state you're bringing the carcass to sends nothing anywhere. When you open a pair's result page, your browser loads that page from our server like any other page, and Google Analytics counts it as a page view, including the page address (for example /pair/ia/wi). We never ask for an email or an account, and there are no pop-ups, exit-intent modals, live chat, or countdown timers.

Default consent settings by region

Before Google Analytics loads, each page sets Google Consent Mode defaults. The site does not ask you to choose; the defaults depend on where you are:

• European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland: analytics and advertising storage are denied by default. Google Analytics then runs without analytics cookies and may send limited cookieless measurements.
• All other regions, including the United States: analytics and advertising storage are granted by default, so Google Analytics may set its cookies.

The same settings also ask Google to redact advertising data and to pass page-link parameters through for measurement. Because the site loads no advertising scripts, no ads are requested in any region.

Cookies and storage

• Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_*): set by Google Analytics where analytics storage is granted, to distinguish visitors and measure site usage.
• Internal visits: The measurement code leaves internal visits out of the figures — automated browsers, other hostnames and pages opened with ?internal=1 appended — without writing anything to your browser: no cookie and no local-storage entry.

Your choices

• Browser controls: you can block or clear cookies and site data at any time in your browser settings.
• Google Analytics opt-out: you can stop Google Analytics from collecting data in your browser with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Because the decoder asks for no name, email or account, we hold nothing that identifies you to export or delete.
